Junior Finance Analyst

In line with the Bank’s continued development, the need has arisen to engage a suitable individual to perform the duties of Junior Finance Analyst.  The successful candidate will join the Regulatory Reporting team of our Finance Department. This unit is responsible for the preparation of regulatory and statistical information and for the interpretation and application of banking rules and regulation focusing specifically on prudential regulation and supervision.

The main responsibilities of the role include but not be limited to:

  • compilation of ongoing regulatory returns and responding to ad-hoc regulatory queries;
  • participate and assist in projects implementing new regulatory requirements and the related reporting templates;
  • maintain documentation related to internal procedures and regulation interpretations;
  • prepare and assist with the preparation of financial reports for use and analysis by management;
  • assist in coordinating and implementing changes to reporting systems / reports used for regulatory reporting with the Bank’s IT department and external providers;
  • performing reconciliations of financial records and other control activities;
  • assisting in the day-to-day routine processes and procedures of Finance Department;
  • performing other ad-hoc duties as required.

The applicants as a minimum shall:

  • ideally hold or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance or similar;
  • have a working knowledge of standard office automation packages including Microsoft applications particularly Excel;
  • be self-driven and committed to meet set targets and deadlines;
  • have a clear focus on high quality and excellence;
  • apply analytical thinking and adapt to change;
  • be keen to develop skills and enhance knowledge;
  • be an avid team-player with a commitment to assist and cooperate with other team members;
