Financial Risk Analyst

In line with the Bank’s continued development, the need has arisen to engage a suitable individual to perform the duties of a Financial Risk Analyst. The successful candidate will be part of the Bank’s Risk Management Department under the responsibility of the Chief Risk Officer. 

The main responsibilities of the role include but not be limited to: 

  • Assisting in the preparation of risk reports submitted to various internal committees and any other ad-hoc requests from time-to-time.
  • Maintaining and updating of risk dashboards as well providing input to external requirements such as the Annual Report, the ICAAP, SREP and any other deliverables as required.
  • Understanding regulatory requirements, guidelines and technical standards that form part of the financial risk management process and providing the necessary direction thereof. 

The applicant as a minimum shall: 

  • Be well versed in Bank regulations and risk management techniques and the use of Microsoft packages while experience in the Banking environment with particular focus on stress testing will be considered an asset;
  • Be expected to work under pressure and unsupervised;
  • Be analytical and have good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be responsible, proactive, and willing to remain updated on various regulatory fronts.
