Regulatory Compliance Analyst
The successful candidate will join the Bank’s Compliance function and be responsible for supporting the Regulatory Compliance Officer on a wide range of regulatory activities in the context of a continuously evolving regulatory landscape.
The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the Bank remains compliant with various regulatory requirements it is subject to through the identification, assessment and monitoring of risks of a regulatory nature;
- Maintaining up-to-date policies and implementing plans aimed at sealing-off exposures to current and emerging regulatory risks with a commercially oriented and practical mind-set;
- Ensuring the relevant Fora and Senior Management, are updated on a frequent basis and in a timely manner;
- Preparing, coordinating, and drafting responses to regulatory requests or in conducting on-site inspections as well as gathering the relevant reports required and seeing to any follow-up actions thereto;
- Liaising with both internal and external Bank stakeholders (including regulators and industry bodies in Malta) to provide support on all Regulatory Compliance related matters.
The applicants as a minimum shall:
- Have a minimum 2 years’ relevant experience within the financial services industry;
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal English;
- Have a keen eye for detail, with robust administrative and organisational skills;
- Have a good understanding of the banking profession and Regulatory Compliance;
- Have the ability and the will to learn and adapt quickly to evolving and changing priorities;
- Be able to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy while ensuring tight deadlines are met;
- Be willing to continually learn and develop by attending the relevant educational seminars/webinars etc.;
- Be proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic team player.
