Database Developer
In line with the Bank’s continued development the need has arisen to engage suitable individuals to perform the duties of a Database Developer.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
- Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations
- Upgrade, document and improve application schema and data upgrades
- Map out conceptual designs for planned databases
- Maintain data standards, including adherence to GDPR
- Manage access permissions and privileges
- Develop, manage, test and document backup and recovery plans
The applicants as a minimum must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related information technology field
- 3 years of experience with database programming languages such SQL
- Experience in administering, managing and tuning databases
- Good understanding of database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance
- Critical thinking and have problem-solving skills
