IT Systems Administrator
In line with the Bank's continued development, the need has arisen to engage a suitable individual to perform the duties of Systems Administrator.
The main responsibilities of the role shall include, but are not limited to:
- Administering and maintaining the Bank's server, storage, backup and infrastructure platforms;
- Performing system maintenance activities including upgrades, service packs, patches, hotfixes, firmware upgrades and security updates;
- Monitoring system availability, performance and capacity, and taking proactive action to address issues and risks affecting service delivery;
- Managing and supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and other core infrastructure services;
- Administering Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services;
- Supporting and maintaining virtualisation platforms and associated infrastructure;
- Performing backup, recovery and restoration activities and participating in disaster recovery testing exercises;
- Investigating and resolving infrastructure incidents, problems and service requests, providing second-line technical support;
- Maintaining infrastructure monitoring, alerting and reporting platforms;
- Participating in infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital transformation projects;
- Liaising with vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders in relation to infrastructure support, maintenance and project activities;
- Undertaking other ICT-related duties as may be assigned.
The applicant as a minimum shall:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or an MQF Level 5 qualification in a related field;
- Have a minimum of three years' experience in a Systems Administrator or equivalent infrastructure support role;
- Demonstrate sound working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory and Group Policy, Virtualisation technologies, Microsoft 365 Administration, Cloud Services, Backup and Recovery Solutions and Infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting;
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills;
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The following will be considered an asset:
- Microsoft Certifications;
- Azure Certifications;
- Experience within the banking or financial services sector.
