Treasury Assistant
In line with the Bank’s continued development, the need has arisen to engage a Treasury Assistant. The successful candidate will join the Bank’s Treasury Department.
The main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Executing financial transactions with the Bank’s counterparties on behalf of the Bank and its customers
- Maintaining and updating Treasury-related files, records, logs, and documentation
- Supporting the daily valuation and monitoring of key Treasury risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, and liquidity risk
- Assisting in the preparation of daily nostro position reports, regulatory submissions, and revaluation schedules
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date static data related to Treasury activities.
The applicant as a minimum shall:
- Have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, and also operational knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Have a basic understanding of and a keen interest in financial markets
- Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while being dependable and accountable
- Have strong numerical, analytical, and problem solving skills with an eye for detail
- Have effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Have a collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Be willing to undertake any relevant training or professional development courses.
